This tribal Mori Bokhara rug is hand-knotted in Pakistan with an all-wool pile on a cotton foundation. There is a very small area of loose binding on one edge, see photos, this rug is new and in very good condition.

Bokhara rugs have small, repeating geometric designs and are woven with very fine wool. The most common Bokhara design consists of rows of “Tekke” guls or medallions (the Tekkes were one of the Turkmen tribes). Bokhara rugs are made in Pakistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan.
