This is a tribal Mori Bokhara rug hand-knotted in Pakistan with an all wool pile on a cotton foundation. This rug is new and in excellent condition.

Bokhara rugs have small, repeating geometric designs and are woven with very fine wool. The most common Bokhara design consists of rows of “Tekke” guls or medallions (the Tekkes were one of the Turkmen tribes). Bokhara rugs are made in Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan.
