This is an authentic vintage Turkish Balikesir rug hand-knotted in Turkey with an all wool pile on a wool foundation. There is some very minor wear on the pile, see photos, this rug is in very good condition.

Balikesir rugs – Balikesir rugs and kilims from this region are made by the descendants of the Turkoman Yoruks that settled in the outlying villages. Balikesir rugs are usually woven with latch-hook motifs and geometric patterns and are made with natural-dyed wool from the surrounding areas.
